Todo estudante inbound deve comparecer à Polícia Federal até 30 dias após o seu ingresso no Brasil para solicitar a carteira de identidade para estrangeiro. Após os 30 dias sem este procedimento, o estudante passa a viver ilegalmente no Brasil e para regularizar a situação pagará multa diária. A despesa da carteira de identidade, de aproximadamente R$ 130,00 é de responsabilidade do estudante inbound.

All exchange student must go to the Brazilian Federal Police to apply for the Brazilian ID for foreigner in the first 30 days after he got in Brazil. After that, if the student don´t apply for the ID, he will be considered illegal in Brazil. It costs aproximately R$ 130,00 and the cost is of the responsability of the student.v
